My journey to find the best juicer
Being a juice fanatic I am constantly looking for top juicers machines that can extract the juice from the fruits and vegetables I put in. In my journey to find the best juicer, I have come across many different types of juicers. There are 3 main types of categories of juicers that are commonly used today, they are Centrifugal, Masticating and Triturating/Twin gear juicers. In this article, I’m going to cover some of the top juicer machines I’ve used in each of the above categories.
1. Omega J8006
Omega is well known for its various kitchen products and Omega J8006 is another one of them. It is a masticating type juicer and in terms of quality, it is the best juicer I’ve used. This juicer is for people who seriously want good quality juice extracts to keep their body healthy. It is slow speed juicer at about 80 RPMs which rotates its auger with a power of 2 horsepower. Hence the juice is produced without any heat buildup and foam which prevents its oxidation thus keeping its nutrient value to highest.
Omega J8006 can also be used for grinding purposes like grinding coffee, preparing baby food etc.
Although the juicer produces quite good results, its cost is also quite high around $300. So this juicer is often targeted by people having quite a budget. Also, the opening of food chute is a bit small so you’ll need to dice out the produce you want to juice.
2. Green Star Elite GSE-5000
The Green star elite GSE -5000 is triturating/twin gear juicer and produces the highest yield of juice you can get. Green star is the company that patented the twin gear technology. Being an original their juicer uses a specialized set of augers to extract most of the juice while keeping the nutrients safe in the juice.
Elite GSE-5000 power a motor rotating at 110 RPM producing power up to 4 horsepower with very low levels of noise. This juicer really produces the best quality of juice and juice can be stored for up to 72 hours, as during its production neither heat nor any foam is generated as a result no oxidation of juice takes place.
Though it produces high-quality juice and grinds, its price is also quite high going to above $500. This juicer is for juice fanatics for whom the quality of juice is the only priority.
3. Omega BMJ330
This was my first juicer when I had started to take juicing seriously. It is a centrifugal juicer and for its types, it outperforms any competitor in terms of yield, low noise production and warranty (15 years on whole juicer, 1 year on cutting disk). It’s made up of stainless steel body and consists of a motor providing 375 watts of power or ½ horsepower. It has a decent 3-inch wide feed chute and produces very low noise and very good yield of juice as compared to similar models from other companies. This model is a must buy for people looking to buy a good juicer on a budget.
